Research Article Competition

As Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Innovative Research in Applied, Biological and Chemical Sciences," I am delighted to announce a prestigious competition to honor outstanding articles from our upcoming issue, scheduled for release on December 30, 2024.

In recognition of the transformative potential of scientific inquiry, we aim to utilize research and knowledge to show Pakistan's positive global image. Through this competition, we aim to exchange and promote research that addresses local and global challenges, emphasizing innovation, novelty, and impactful findings that contribute to advancement in science and publication. This initiative also seeks to inspire and encourage young graduates and researchers to contribute to scientific progress and excellence, supporting Pakistani journals in showcasing their scholarly achievements on an international platform.

Submissions are invited with a deadline of November 15, 2024. The corresponding authors of the top three ranked articles (see table 1 for article evaluation criteria and scoring) will receive rewards: $200 for the first-place article, $100 for the second-place article, and $50 for the third-place article.

The principal or corresponding author must be enrolled as a student and must provide a student identity card as confirmation of enrollment when submitting the work. To be eligible for the competition, articles must show a clear link between biological sciences and either chemical or applied sciences. The number of authors for each manuscript is limited to three to five. The addition of additional authors after the submission is not permitted. The presented work should be novel and completed by the year 2024. Papers submitted to this competition should not have been previously published. If already published, the paper will be disqualified.

The article must follow the IRABCS guidelines (Template available at https://irabcs.com/ojs/libraryFiles/downloadPublic/10). The article must be submitted online via https://irabcs.com/ojs/submissions. Following submission, every article will go through a double-blind peer review. Our esteemed review committee, composed of experts in relevant fields, will independently evaluate blind submissions using criteria such as trending topic, novelty, methodological rigor, significance, clarity, contribution to the field, relevance, timeliness, and presentation quality (see table 1 for article evaluation criteria and scoring). Following a blind review procedure, accepted and rejected articles will be notified by email and the OJS online manuscript tracking system.

Accepted articles will be immediately added to the Forthcoming Issue prior to its publication in December 2024, with an ISSN and DOI, and will be indexed in appreciation of their efforts. In addition to the criteria listed above, article scores will be modified after publication by metrics such as reads/downloads and citations until the day before the announcement date (see table 1 for article evaluation criteria and scoring), according to GMT+5. Winners will be selected based on their outstanding research and intellectual effect.

Results will be announced on March 1, 2025, and winners will be shared through the announcement section of the journal and our social media pages, along with proofs and scores, to celebrate their achievements.
